Life Lessons Learned from My Cat

This is my cat. Her name is Kitty. Its a pretty creative name I know, haha. She is the best cat ever, and shes all mine! She's taught me alot of things about life over the years and today, I pass this knowledge on to you, my readers.
Here's what we can all learn about life, from my cat:

1. Who are You Calling Fat?
As you can see, my darling Kitty is a little on the chubby side. She doesn't know this, mind you. She thinks she is the hottest cat on the East Coast, trust me. She frequently attempts to lay in boxes that are about 8 times too small for her; even so much that her fat is sticking out everywhere, and the box is ripping. While her resting place is slowly ripping at its seems, my cat is happily oblivious. To her, it is absurd that she cannot fit into a box. She's Kitty, boxes mold to her form, not the other way around.
What have a learned from Kitty's box "modifying" ways?
Be comfortable in your own skin.
Yes, Kitty is fat, but she waves it around like she just don't care(yes that just happened). Lets face it people, we're not all up to par in some way or another, but what can we really do about it? The only thing that will make you truly happy with your body is to love it just the way it is! Now, that's not to say that you shouldn't want to lose weight, no sir!
Losing weight will help you be healthier, feel better, and live longer! I'm saying that if you think that the only way you can be happy is if you're a size 0 and a supermodel then you're in for a life of disappointments. Be happy when you're young and fit, be happy when your sagging and dragging, just be happy with YOU, not your body.
:)

2. I'm Outta Here!
My cat migrates. No, she doesn't fly south, but she does change rooms of the house.
As soon as it turns winter in my house, my cat can feel it. She immediately moves her napping area to my brother, Nathan's bed. Why would she do that? He has an electric heater that blows right on his bed. When the winter chill hits my house, she moves to the warmest place there. Her momma didn't raise no dummy!
From this I've learned that when you don't like you're surroundings or whats happening around you, don't stay in it, change it!
Sometimes in life things happen that makes you uncomfy, whether its people, places, or things. If your "friends" treat you like yesterdays meatloaf, move on, don't just take it. Are you in a bad relationship, get the heck outta there. Its like going to the warmest room in the house when winter comes. Now, I realize that life isn't always that easy, but you can apply this same principle when you can't get outta there. Sometimes you just have to take a bad situation and make the best of it, but if you can change it in some way, then please do. Life is too short to be miserable. Just ask Kitty.

3. Ignore the Stupid People
Kitty's main mission as far as my other pets are concerned is to be left alone. My dog, Mo hasn't quite figured this out yet. Mo always seems to think that because Kitty waddled into the room she wants to play with him. This couldn't be further from the truth. Mo will go over to her and try to get her to play with him by bumping her with his nose and trying to bite at her. Kitty doesn't play with dogs. She keeps on walking like Mo isn't even there. Mo isn't the only one to get this treatment. When the kittens were little they always romped around where ever Kitty had decided to sleep that day. Even though they were disturbing her precious nap time Kitty just ignored them until they quieted down.
This is how Kitty deals with annoying people. She ignores them, mostly.
Sometimes in life, people annoy you. This is a general fact. Somewhere, sometime, you are going to meet someone who just rubs you the wrong way. I say ignore them. Now, I'm not saying be rude and act like the don't exist. I'm just saying you should let them go their way and you go yours. Don't make a big fuss about it, you cant exterminate everyone in the world who annoys you in some way(sadly), sometimes you just have to learn to deal with it, or walk away quietly.

4. Don't Worry, Be Happy
Every morning when Kitty wakes up from her 4rth nap (roughly) she doesn't expect that she has to go out and hunt her breakfast. She simply meows next to her food bowl until one of the humans fills the bowl for her. She doesn't worry about where the foods coming from, how much it costs, or how the package is presented. She just knows that when she gets hungry, there's gonna be food in her bowl.
Sometimes, like Kitty, you have to have faith that things will work out, and God will provide for you.
Like it says in the bible:
25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’
-Matthew 6:25-32

Sometimes you just have to stop worrying about life's little things and depend on God to provide for you, and that he knows whats best for you. Don't worry, be happy!

5. Keep Your Friend's Close
One thing that Kitty isn't fond of, is strangers. If someone she doesn't know comes in the house she's off hiding somewhere. She just doesn't trust everyone that easily until she knows them (or at least smells them first). When its just around though, shes a generally a happy friendly cat. She especially loves my brother Nathan for whatever reason. haha. Whenever he comes in the room her eyes light up and she meows and gets super excited till he pets her. She just cant get enough. She does the same thing with me when I've been gone overnight or something. She also likes to cuddle up with one of us at night, or when shes feeling especially friendly.
She knows who her friends are and sticks by them. That's the way that we all should be.   Don't EVER take your friendship for granted (especially not for a boyfriend(or girlfriend)). Some things in life will change but your true friends will always be there for you though thick and thin. Keep your true friends close to your heart.

(I know that's a really bad picture of Nathan. Shh don't tell)

There may be more of these to come, but this is what I've learned so far.
Here's to you Kitty, for teaching me some of the facts of life.
