So, since I'm going to try and get into these photo challenges that have been going on, do you think I should discontinue Picture of the Day's?
If I get more into the challenges it will basically still mean a picture every day but not as a POD.
What do you guys think?

Nono, please! Trust me, I understand the appeal of the photo challenges, especially to someone with your eye for photography, but I LOVE your photo of the day and would miss it greatly.
